Five things you should be listening to this weekend (Vol. 14)

January is always a bit of a tough month. You’ve eaten, drank and spent too much over Christmas, and now you’re having to spend your weekends trying to save money and behave. Well, luckily for you I’ve got another five tunes which you can listen to any time you want, completely for free. You’re welcome.

Chet Faker x GoldLink – On You

I’ve been a big fan of Chet Faker for a while now and featured him on the first one of these posts I did. On You sees him team up with GoldLink as part of the Yours Truly and Adidas originals Songs From Scratch series, which brings different artists together for one off collaborations.

BADBADNOTGOOD & Ghostface Killah – Ray Gun (Feat. MF DOOM)

BADBADNOTGOOD made a name for themselves through their unique combination of jazz, hip hop and soul, which was showcased on their 2011 release, Odd Future Sessions. Ray Gun is the latest single from BADBADNOTGOOD and Ghostface Killah’s upcoming collaborative album, Sour Soul, and also features the legendary MF DOOM.

Years and Years – King

Years and Years were the lucky winners of the BBC’s Sound of 2015 poll, and well deserving winners at that. Not to brag or anything, but I featured Years and Years on here a fair few months ago. Just saying.

Oshi – i <3 u

i <3 u is the latest track from 16 year old UK producer Oshi. That’s right, 16 years old. What were you doing when you were 16 years old? Not making absolute bangers, that’s for sure. 1-0 to Oshi.

Kanye West – Only One (Feat. Paul McCartney)

Kanye West was pretty quiet last year, as far as new music was concerned. He’s always doing or saying something, but it’s been a while since he dropped any new tunes. Well, you can consider him officially back, and back on top form as usual. Kanye teamed up with Paul McCartney for Only One, which sees him venture away from the cocky, egotistical swagger we’ve experienced of late. Instead we see a much more emotional Kanye, singing a song to his daughter, from the perspective of his late mother.
