Five things you should be listening to this weekend (Vol. 17)

Love is in the air, and I’ve got just the tunes to soundtrack your Valentine’s weekend. Dim the lights, pour some champagne, light some candles, crank up the volume and enjoy.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra – Multi-Love

Unknown Mortal Orchestra made their triumphant return this week with the first single from their upcoming third album, Multi-Love. The single, which shares the same name as the album, brings back that signature trippy, psych-rock sound Unknown Mortal Orchestra are renowned for.

Huon Kind – Feel Like This

Feel Like This is the latest track from up and coming Australian duo Huon Kind and while I could try and describe their sound, it would be easier to let them do it. I took this quote from Huon Kind’s Facebook page: “Let the bass slap you with a warm hand. Come closer. Listen and melt into it. Take deep warm shelter under the Huon. Pine for it.” – That sounds about right to me.

NxWorries – Anderson Paak & Knxwledge – Suede

Anderson Paak and Knxwledge have joined forced to make NxWorries and Suede is their first single as a newly formed duo. If the rest of their tracks are anything like this, I think I’ll be listening to a lot more of these guys.

Atlas Bound – Tell Me

We get a little soulful with our next track, courtesy of another Australian duo, this time in the form of Atlas Bound. Tell Me is slightly more upbeat than previous single, Talk, but no less smooth, just listen to those keys come in!

Like – Glory

German label, Jakarta, released another mixtape this week, Winter In Jakarta. If you like Glory, then check out the full mixtape on SoundCloud, where you can download it for free!

P.S. If you haven’t already heard, Drake released a surprise 17 track mixtape late last night/early this morning. Check it out here – If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.
