I know I’ve been a bit quiet on here over the past few weeks – my brother recently got married, so I’d been spending a lot of my free time preparing my best man speech. Well, the speech went down a treat and the wedding was amazing, and now I’m back and better than ever. Here are my five things you should be listening to this weekend.

Jamie XX – I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times) (Remix)

As soon as Jamie XX released Good Times, it was instantly crowned one of the songs of the summer – I know I’ve been listening to it on repeat for most of my summer so far. Just when you thought Jamie XX had peaked, however, he dropped this outstanding 8 minute long remix of the track. Enjoy.

Drake – Back To Back Freestyle

For those of you who don’t follow hip-hop news, Drake and Meek Mill have been having some beef recently. Meek Mill had been shouting his mouth of about how Drake uses ghostwriters for some of his songs, while Drake just stayed fairly quiet on the whole matter. He couldn’t stay quiet forever though, and earlier this week dropped Back To Back Freestyle, which absolutely tears Meek Mill apart. Brutal.

Sober is the latest collaboration between CVIRO & GXNXVS, following on from their smash hit, Benjamins, late last year. A collaborative EP from CVIRO & GXNXVS is said to be coming out soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that one.

Chet Faker – 1998 (Feat. Banks)

Chet Faker is without a doubt one of my favourite artists of the past few years, and 1998 was definitely one of the strongest tracks from his 2014 album, Built On Glass. This week, Chet released a reworked version of the track, featuring Banks, and it’s a match made in heaven.

Lianne La Havas – What You Don’t Do (Tom Misch Remix)

We’re rounding things off this week with the latest offering from the incredibly talented Tom Misch. This latest outing sees him remix Lianne La Havas’ What You Don’t Do, putting his signature funky, summery spin on it.

Bae, vaping and indyref were all added to the Oxford Dictionary this week, and Myleene Klass had a go at Ed Miliband because she wants to keep all her hard earned Hear’Say cash to herself. And what have I been doing while all of that has been going on, I hear you ask? Well, I’ve been scouring the web, finding the best tunes to share with all of you of course.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra – Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay
